It is our aim to provide the best quality of service possible for the children in our care and their families.

Mia loves Busy Bee’s and the staff that look after her. It is reassuring to know that Mia is in such capable hands. For us as parents it can be difficult leaving your child for such long periods of time so knowing she is so well cared for is comforting and makes it easier to leave her

SECURITY AND SAFETY

Security is a top priority at Corner House. The entrance to the nursery is kept locked at all times.

A secure door entry system including CCTV linked to the office and reception is operational and manned by senior staff. Visitors and collectors must be known to us or be able to provide proof of their identity before being admitted.

Play areas are safe and fully enclosed with walls and fences and all exterior gates are padlocked during opening hours. There is no access into any play areas from the street children cannot wander out and members of the public cannot get in.

All staff are carefully vetted and must hold an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. (see how we choose the best staff)

The nursery is registered with and takes advice from the following official bodies:

  • Environmental Services inspect the kitchens and food preparation areas annually.
  • Fire Safety and Prevention Services. The nursery is full compliant with regulations and has fire alarms and smoke detectors throughout the building.
  • Health and Safety Executive. We have comprehensive policies, procedures and manuals covering all aspects of H&S.

We take internet security very seriously and have policies for the following. Please ask if you would like to see a copy.

  • Use of mobile phones
  • Data protection

The nursery is fully covered for Public and Employer Liability Insurance

“Children's security is given high priority in the setting by means of intercom systems at the main door and all visitors sign in and are shown to their designated area. Other safety measures include stair gates on all stairways and guards on heating systems. The staff complete daily checks of the premises to ensure children are kept safe” OFSTED report 2010
