At nursery there is always lots of time for the important things like playing house, making sand pies, painting a picture and learning to pedal the big bike.

Thank you for all you’ve done to make Adeline’s transition this term into Busy Bees classroom so easy. She adores nursery and she looks forward to coming. You all do an amazing job and we appreciate your time, energy and care”.

2 YEARS - 3 YEARS

Our emphasis in this age group is on learning through structured play which is how young children learn with enjoyment and challenge. At Corner House, the child’s own experiences of life are central to our curriculum, taking them through the changing seasons of the year and how they affect us.  Encouraging awareness of the world around us and the wider world in which we live, extending their understanding of other countries and other cultures.  Understanding about ourselves and other people, animals, birds, plants and how things grow.

In the early part of their Nursery Education, knowledge is gained through play experiences both indoors and outside, developing physical skills, speaking and listening and personal and social development.  They will learn how to share, and interact, with both adults and children, and as part of a group, to consider the feelings of others, to be polite and well mannered, and to know the difference between right and wrong.

Children learn best when they are happy, settled and confident within their environment. They will enjoy making relationships with their favourite carers and new friendships with other children. At nursery there is always lots of time for the important things like playing house, making sand pies, painting a picture and learning to pedal the big bike.
